What manual, 5 spd I assume, did you put in? Beautiful paint cars like Donovan's look amazing but when someone dings his door, they better have their running shoes on. My cars are the same way. Something happens, not the end of the world. Our Challenger is a different story and they have to deal with my Wife. Neat old truck. I looking, assuming a 4L60E was installed and how not use it as a truck but you went a different route, nice.

From the magazine article:
  • 2003 GMC Yukon Vortec 5.3L
  • 1997 Chevy NV3500 manual 5-speed transmission
  • Centerforce clutch
  • Modified bell housing to fit LS engine
Interested to know why you chose a Subaru clutch hydraulic system. I used to almost put the pedal through the firewall driving my wife's 2002 Legacy - so soft and super-short travel.

I love the look of the Subaru sti pedals and I like a pedal that grabs right off the floor.

Thanks! NV3500. I have one in my vortec 350 V8 S10. Very good, and cheap trans.

Thought it might be. I seriously considered trying to find the heavy duty Dodge Dakota version to go in my Dakota along with a Dana 30 to replace the no locker available Chrysler 8" front diff.

nice. From what I understand (not 110% sure) it’s the identical trans as the Chevy internals (obviously different bellhousing and input/output splanes. The trans in my S10 has 180k on it (17k of it was beind the V8 and it’s been great. I don’t beat the ever living piss out of it, if I did, then the trans prob wont last
