That's what it was!! I couldn't remember. Your Malibu has come a long way I see. Looking good.

The Bu made it's first trip outside in a few years. I took everything out of the garage to clean up the mess from removing all the seam sealer then blew the car, doors, and trunk all out with air, something I should have done a long time ago to the doors, there was a lot of dirt and crud in the nooks and crannies. Also welded up the stress cracks at the front of the doors.

Nice man. Looking good. I'm really jealous of that concrete driveway. I bet that makes things easier as far as moving the car around on that stand with those casters. Seeing you work on your doors reminds me that I need to go get my other set of Monte Carlo doors from my mom's place. I really need to find a daily driver car so I can take my Monte Carlo apart and address some rust issues it has.

So you peeled/scraped almost all of that paint off? I guess that's a lot less dusty than sanding it all off. Looks like you're making good progress.

I believe one cannot have enough concrete driveway, my wife thinks otherwise. She will get a rude awakening because I have plans to build another garage at the end of the driveway when this is finished. 😀

Nearly the entire car was scraped/peeled by hand, I have slight OCD when it comes to a clean garage, that and it was almost cheap/free to do. I think I spent $75 between the first and second heat gun plus a 100 pack of razor blades. I did take a whack at sanding it in the beginning but that seemed to take forever. One good thing about scraping was it left the metal with it's original seal so handprints didn't flash rust like where I sanded subsequently or buddies/neighbors walk over a touch it.

I'm gonna have to agree with you on that! I'd love to have a concrete driveway. The previous owners of our house put gravel in front of the garage and it's way too deep so all it really does is cause you to spin and dig ruts in the driveway which you later have to fill back in with the gravel you spun out. It's a never ending cycle that I'm gonna put a stop to when I get time. As far as building another garage, that's awesome! The guy who owned this place before me should have built this garage several feet wider and longer but I'll make due with it for now. Lol.

That's pretty cheap to strip the entire car. It's really cool that it leaves the original coating so that rust doesn't start growing. I bet scraping the paint definitely makes for a cleaner garage. Good work man.
