IMG_1346.JPG IMG_1347.JPG IMG_1348.JPG I worked on my alternator today, I heated it up on the stove to expand the case and taped it out carefuly now I can clean and polish the case and up grade it while I have it apart,its a cs130d alternator

so it ben a while,i've ben busy with my little girl but I have made some progress. I had to install the engine in and out a lot to get the headers to fit not sure why but they fit now, then I put a dummy trans on the rear so I can install the belt drive and make sure that all fits in the frame. I have to make a trans mount on the left hand side yet but I have a good idea for that so here's some pics ,enjoy

Reaching back a couple of pages - I used Evaporust this winter and found that parking the pan on a heater vent overnight accelerated the rust removal. It literally ate the oxide right out of the pits in the steel and left a grey finish. I cleaned the parts and immediately put rust conversion paint on them, because just leaving them in the open air - they started to rust again.

I think it's because of that big fat motor you're trying to stuff in there with them!!

got them to post now, so I made it out of scrap, but I did have to buy the 3/8 5x5 tube cause I dident have any,so I got 40.00 bucks in it
