Call umi performance they sell hubs. They have them in their Monte. They will help for sure.

I've looked into them a little. I'd like to spend less than the $400ish umi is listed for, that's why I kept trying to get a hold of flynbye haha. If I can't score some cheap blazer spindles, then I'll spend the money on umi... And their Monte is amazing

The first thing I did after buying it was pull the auto zone spring spacers out and buy these soft 8s because my dad wanted the other cragars back. I was on a major budget when I bought these super heavy wheels, that's the only reason I bought them. This pic is my dad and I cruising around the Power Tour in Charlotte last year

Wow! Your car is a celebrity, twice! And Soft 8s absolutely go with the primer and stance! The premium bumpers are a hoot. What size tires/wheels are on there?

Yea I kinda liked the soft 8s, but it was time for a change. The soft 8s are 17x8 with 4.5 BS. 235/45r17 on the front and 275/40r17 drag radials on the rear.

Don't take this as an insult, but you have the 'hipster' look in the Power Tour photo with the beard and the Wayfarers. The ultimate contrast to the Elco-rod. Most hipsters don't bother to own a car - too much money spent on vintage clothes upholding the image...

Haha yea you're right. I live close to Asheville(hipster capital of the east coast), so I suppose the glasses and beard rubbed off on me. But I try not succumb to the hipster lifestyle other than that... Even though my dd is an earth polluting tdi jetta haha

Fast forward to this year. I bought some 17x9.5 ridler 675 wheels and swapped the tires from the soft 8s onto them. I hate how the 235s bulge on the 9.5" wheel, but you gotta do what you gotta do when you're on a budget.

Then I did the suspension work that was mentioned before. And I also decided to pretty up the engine compartment while I had everything apart.

Don't mind the MSD box. I just put it on a couple weeks prior, knowing everything was gonna be torn apart.

The "finished enough" engine compartment

This is the result of it being torn apart for a month

It almost handles like a new car now. It feels like I have a dead spot in my old steering box, so I'm gonna get a closer ratio one. I think the rear sits a tad bit too high, but I'll get to that one day.

If you desire a rat-rod 1980 grille and bumpers, I would happily trade you mine plus some cash. My grille is a little peely, but the bumpers are shiny, just without the deluxe rubber strips. Long-shot, I know.
