Changed the lower bearing of the steering shaft. The car is getting better and better at cornering 😉

I just got the bearing kit from kirbans, gets rid of the plastic" bearing",

Actually mines from Jeep, so there is a real bearing inside that white "bearing". It fits right in, and here in Finland you can't buy anywhere that original part that GM used. Doesnt effect anything because as I said those Jeep steering bearings are easy to find 🙂

Modified trans crossmember today, for the double exhaust. Couple of pics:

No I can lift the exhaust nearly 2 inches. Im going to modify it when I get those headers 🙂 My current headers go superlow, and leak everywhere, theyre pretty discusting :puke: 😀

How is the transmission crossmember attached to the frame of the car? I have those two rubber bushings and then bolts tightening it up, but my friend said that theyre shouldn't be those bushings at all?

The rubber pads, or bushings on the X-member, look like something that was added on. I know mine didn't have them, and some cars did, but they were a thin piece of rubber between the frame and X-member.

I left those rubber pads away for now.

I think modifiaing that crossmember is going to make hell of a difference when I get those headers in place 8)
