Its the wires that come off the starter. Usually they look like they're taped together. Fusible link is just wire that has a low burning point, so it burns up before something catches on fire.

Ok cool I'll check that first thing in the morning., Would it still turn over the way it does with that being bad?

Yep, the stud on the starter just acts as a junction block. The purple wire is the signal from the ignition switch to actuate the starter. One of these red wires goes to the stud on the alternator for "voltage sensing" and the other wire goes to the fuse panel. It is possible that they didn't completely burn (like in that pic) and now it can't supply enough power to give good spark.

Easiest swap would be a buick 350. but it being a GP, a mild pontiac 400 would be pretty damn nice.
I wonder why grandamman disagreed this. I'm right. Slip of the finger?

It's getting fuel. Fuseable links are good. Gonna change the coil now. Headed to parts store now. Gonna grab some starting fluid also.

Put new coil. Still nothing. Alternator is new fuel pump is new. Like I said I just started it to move it to a shaded area in my yard and when I arked it "briefly" it wouldn't start afterwards 😑 it just turns over
