1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham

coming along nicely

improvements:

1) Reworked the vinyl roof molding. Now a chrome piece. I prefer that over the original maroon plastic trim.

2) Door edge guards. Why? Because that was an option. And most Seville's had them. 🙂

Also:

1) Emptied the rear doors as there was a lot of water accumulated in there 🙁

2) Realigned the steering wheel - it was off since I changed the steering shaft

3) Had to grind the edge of he copper "T" fitting I used for the oil sensor - so that I could give it one more turn and tighen it correctly. Fixed a slow engine oil leak.

Getting ready to install those cornering lights...

Also - ordered brake parts from Summit:

1) drilled/slotted 10.5" rotors
2) ceramic pads
3) Wilwood 2.75" piston calipers ( WIL-120-8926 )

Will fit this with:

1) dual diaphragm booster from a 1981 Cadillac (ebay)
2) b-body remanufactured 1 1/8" master cylinder

No big deal -- cleaned the windshield washer tank and installed an AC/Delco level sensor. Wiring to come.

Gotta ask, how you got it cleaned up? My washertank and coolant tanks are yellow and dirty, really messes up the look of the engine compartment!

I am surprised at the result myself 🙂

I used a scrubbing sponge with some Fast Orange handcleaner. Worked like a charm! Will also do it on the coolant overflow tank. Any abrasive soap would do.

brakes brakes.

10.5" slotted drilled rotors
Wilwood 2.75" calipers
Ceramic pads
GM 18006061 Master Cylinder

The MC is actually a Pontiac 301 Disc/Disc brakes from 1981. I had ordered a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice unit. I guess that's the " lottery" when you buy rebuilt parts from NAPA... 🙂
