Found out the RPO code for my differential is GU1, which means 7.5" / 2.41 ratio unit.

Now that I think about it, is the rear interior upper window molding two pieces? I got these fiber optics housing out of an 83 & an 84 Oldsmobile 98 regency(both 4 doors). The fender fiber optics housings are the same(part number and all) as the gbody coupes but the rear monitor is a totally different shape and location placement.

TODAY I bought a 3.73 7.5 locking differential and it came along with a disk brake setup. Will need to understand the nature and specs of these brakes. Not sure how they tried to mount the calipers on this differential.

Got to see the crankshaft, confirming once and for all that this engine is an oddfire type...:


Even if the camshaft looks like an evenfire type, because it's a once-piece type:


Will probably endup using a carburator, not an injection setup. Still undecided.
