Brian tooley trunion kit installed on rockers. rebuilt 317 heads, milled 0.30, 3 angle valve job with howard 6.00 lift valve springs installed. Melling high performance oil pump. Cloyes true roller billet timing chain. Howards cam shaft.

My Holley midrise, Holley belt drive kit, and valve covers are almost done. Decided to have the intake and valve covers coated in torch red to match the interior and body stripes etc. The brackets and truck spacers are coated gloss black. going to have the ac compressor painted black and Im buying a high output alt from mechman.com that is allready powder coated gloss black.

All sandblasted and taped up.

Got my new Ls7 lifters, lifter trays, Lokar flexible dip stick, and a steam vent kit. Just waiting for my intake, valve covers, and brackets to come back from powder coat, and i need to pick a head gasket to use. Then I will have the engine assembled.

Since my 317 heads which are stock 72cc are milled 0.30 I was thinking with a .41 thick head gasket my combustion chambers would be around 65cc which should put me close to 11 to 1 compression. Anybody with any insight on this?
