That line going into your splitter is huge! Or are my eyes getting even worse? Could be the latter . . .
I've only ever been able to get a single flare on SS lines. I think you'd need a hydraulic to get a double. Don't forget to deburr! 😉
That double flare looks nice! The problem with stainless lines comes with working on lines that have already been flared. The line kit I got from inline tube had to be modified, and I ended up having to trash a couple lines! A buddy of mine has the eastwood tool, and we almost broke it trying to double flare.I broke it out of the box and immediately started testing it on the extra I cut off of the back two lines. The first try was perfect as was every other one I tried. I did about 6 to 10 I think before doing the two lines for the rear. Perfect!!
As long as you really tighten down the two clam shell pieces that the line goes in, the rest is just pulling the handle.

No cracks, no splits, no distortion. The tool is not cheap, but WORKS like a charm (so far)
