Hey man, Love reading your thread, Im Currently Building a 83 Regal 5.3 LM7 LS Turbo with the same general idea as you...
cant wait to see what you do when it comes to the turbo. you've given me a few good pointers already!
Did you ever figure out what you were gonna do for a trans?
Thanks man! It means alot to know that someone is reading and learning from some of the things i do lol. But currently im planning on a th400 reverse manual valve body and a kilduff lightening rod shifter. As for the turbo im plannin on getting the denmah single turbo kit just to make it easy for my first turbo build. Just a gt45 single is all im planning for that thing at the moment. But itll be no exhaust for me just going to dump the wastegate out the pass side fender. I have fuel rails coming in tomorrow or the next day and some other goodies ;) But just keep checking in on my updates because many more are coming. Also im trying for more pictures as I go along but sometimes i get on a role and forget lol. Thanks again!!

Hopefully i can get it to fit as this is my first V8 Turbo Build. Good Luck With The build cant wait to see the next Update.

Fooled around in the shop today working on the fuel setup, got my regulator in and hose run to it from the pump. Waiting on my parts to come in tomorrow has a few fittings i need to keep going plus my new rails!! Heres a few pics.

Used the existing bracket from the factory fuel system to mount the regulator on.

Also shortened the hose from the y-block to the pump and it looks much better plus its not in a bind anymore.

No clearance issues with the dirty dingo ps pulley.

Something im working on to get my coils out of the way of those gigantic turbo headers lol. So far so good i beleive. What do you guys think???

Right now i only made one of these brackets just to get a feel for where i want it to sit. Its just a peice of flat aluminum stock i bent and drilled. They mount to the valve covers in the same bolt holes the coil bracket itself goes and same thing on the bracket itself. A little more fine tuning and this will be permanent. Let me know what you guys think, Thanks!

Well good news is my parts came in, bad news is the ls1 brackets in the kit arent going to work but thats not stopping me from using them ;) Started on the first bracket this evening gonna make the other 3 tomorrow morning. Just using some 1/8in thick aluminum for them and so far its working good just a pain mirroring the peices. Also got word from work today that I get Monday off from work WOOO one more day to work on the race car lol

Alright guys its not LS related but got a set of skinnys for the front yesterday and man do they look great. Just summits ultra one brand but theyll work. Little bit of weight off the front end, plus getting it looking more like I want it to look so $280 well spent. Hardly any miles on them! Sorry if I seem really excited but ive wanted these on the car since I bought it over a year ago lol
