Car is looking good, thanks for the updates. Have you ever thought of not going with the body kit?
I realize, not everyone fancy's the body kit on the G-body. In my experience once it gets seen in PERSON 99.9% of people "get it" and appreciate it and like it.
If he didn't put the body kit on it, it wouldn't be a "FE3X clone" -- and the regular cutty would surely be done by now.

I'm just assuming but, ^^ that's not gonna happen if he's as "stuck" on the final vision in his head, as I was on mine. 😉

The car is hand built and there are very few unmodifed parts on the car. There is so much time in the fabrication of parts not just to fit but to work and look good. This is the best G body that I have seen and I think it is a very cool build. One of the things I like about car building is you can stick with your original plan or you can change your plan as you go.Look at how many people change there mind about rim and tire size after they have bought tires and rims, I know I have. When I built cars for my self or others I can not remember a car that did not have changes made from its original plan. There have been even color changes, auto to stick, small blcok to big block, trim delet to reinstall trim. One had trim delet after the car was painted. Some cars had two hoods painted one stock one with a factory hood scoop. But I will say it costs a lot less if you stick to your plan or change your plan before you have to pay twice. I will never tell some one how to build there car because it is there car, I will give my opinion just like when I ask what others think about my builds.Like I said I'm bias because I grew up in the pro street area.

Berhard,

Feel the same and looks like we've followed similar paths, except I never was really into Pro-Street but have worked on / help build those types of vehicles during that time period. My main gripe, and not really a gripe but more of a "oh no, not again" is it seems when working with / for someone else that the mind-changing comes RIGHT AFTER you do something that will be a pain to undo.

And have to agree with everyone else, FE3x, this is one great car and build 😀

There is nothing like repainting a car you just painted because they want to delet trim. The part of the pro street look I did not like is when they put to large a tire in the back. I think FEX3 clone has just the right amount of rear tire width. I also was not a big fan of custom paint. I realy liked the one color paint cars with no graphics. I liked factory hood stripes but only if they came that way from the factory. Know back to FEX3 clone build. Like I said before very cool build.

Those were two out of my big three reasons for not getting into them: too large a rear tire, too crazy paint / stripe schemes (no theme whatsoever), and majority were all show / no go. People would spend hella money on those only to have them not perform, even on the street - most were uncomfortable, undriveable and just slow as cold molassess. Kind of why I got out of sport trucks & sport compacts (pocket rockets, ricers, whatever they're called nowadays).

Sorry for going off on a tangent FE3X, back on topic. Hope you get a chance to work on it some more but know the new gig will keep you busy too.

No problem.

Yeah, just finished my first week but it's not really finished. Worked a total of probably 4-6 hours of overtime and I'm going back in tomorrow morning for probably 6-8 depending because they need help. At this rate, I'll be making more money than I know what to do with but won't have time to spend it or work on the car. 🙁

I may just have to drop the car off at my friends house with a wad of cash and say finish it! I'm sure he'd just love that.
