Looks good
I really like the spoiler. How much work is involved in installing this on the Cutlass?

Thanks

I just drilled the holes and bolted it on. If you keep the wing tips you'll have clearance those so they don't hit the tops of the taillights.
We're going to cut them off on mine.

All I can say is WOW! Your post in this forum reads like a novel on the best sellers list...I am gonna have to go over it a bunch more times...the stuff daydreams are made of...I consider myself lucky just to have a 87 that I try to drive every day at least a gallons worth of gas ( 7 to 10 mpg) Yours is off the hook!!! Love it...

Keep up the great work on the car looks good cant wait to see it done

Be aware that there are two different styles of the Monte spoiler. There's a stand up style and lay down style. Mine is the lay down style.

You'd have to ask the Monte guys what year the switch was made. All I know is the lay down style was used in the later years.

Hood in it's first coat of primer:

Need to make a panel for the rear of the cowl to close it off and then add a screen for the opening.

The crisp lines of the cowl really look good and go with the crisp lines of the G-body (IMO)! Great job!

Picture of the hood after a final sanding and coat of primer. We carried the body line from the cowl down onto the front edge of the hood. I think it came out pretty good:

And I finished the metal work on the cowl scoop screen/gauge panel:

Just need to weld this into the opening at the back of the scoop and then do a little bodyfiller work to blend it in. Pretty happy with out it turned out. Only thing I would have liked to have done would have been to recess the gauges so the bezels would be flush with the face of the panel. I had an idea on how to do it but would have taken more time than I wanted to spend on it. This will work well enough for now.

Test fitted the panel in the cowl today. Fits pretty decent. Just need to tack it in place and then do the body work to blend everything in. I think I'm going to paint the bezel's on the gauges black so they blend in more.

I'm torn on which would look better in my opinion, but I say go for it since you can always take them out and paint them again later.
