200 r4 to th400 swap

when swapping out your 200 r4 for the th400 does the driveshaft u joint & yoke need to be changed also or can you use the same ujoint and just change the yoke? if you have to change both what ujoint do i use to match up with th400 yoke and and driveshaft

I believe you need the paired yolk for the short tail 400 and then get your shaft cut to size.
Should also be able to use (modify?) your existing crossmember.

U joint i am pretty sure is the same. Driveshaft is a different length and trans crossmember needs to be modified or swapped out and you need the correct slip yoke

Crossmember is the same for 200-4r and th-400. Use the 200-4r mount.
U-joint is different... The guy at the shop I took mine to just looked at it and knew what it needed.
Driveshaft will need to be cut approximately 1/2"-3/4".
Measure once it's together to confirm.
You'll need to run a vacuum line and install the electric kick-down switch.
It cost me about $100 to have mine cut and rebalanced.
