Sounds like someone got into the box the GE motor came in.....They took the flux capacitor and without it you cannot achieve the 1.21 Gigawatts needed to start that 5 hp motor.
Be carefull with the compression sleeve, they are like Holley Manipulator bushings.....Brass parts work differently from the chrome painted ones!

I never thought about it missing the flux capacitor but I'm lucky that it's gone, I might have made a mistake and gone ten years into the future and found all the cars and planes were gone and AOC was in charge

I'm totally amazed that you all missed the head pressure unloader valve....... and if the trouble continues LS the biatch !!

this is what I luv about thius site, even when I don't think I have any problems you guys always come through to point out problems I never considered. I'm thinking I'm going to have to start over and re-invent an air compressor to make it as complicated as they should be. I might use your idea and use an LS engine as the pump. With that I can use the compressor as a mobile unit since I won't need electricity to power it.....I wonder how I'm going to mount the LS on top of the compressor....🤔

Mount the 80 gallon tank to the LS engine and just get a longer belt. Also, remove the cord from the electric motor, since you won't be needing it anymore. Then fill your mouth with unpopped popcorn kernals. Next, put the wires from the motor end of the cord in your mouth. Then plug the cord into the wall outlet. The popcorn will pop right in your mouth! 🤣
