well depends on how much you want to do to it ....go to northernautoparts.com and they have kits in the 200 dollar range ive got a 406 thats puts out 425 hp that i built for aroun 750.00 bucks 🙂

If you were actually puking oil that bad your motor wouldnt be running after you flooring it to force it to get to 25mph with what you said.

Based on the vagueness of everything youve said I'll take 3 stabs:

Clogged cat - and that would be one seriously clogged cat
Wiped lobe on cam or stuck lifter or stuck valve
Some serious carb issues


Btw seriously please turn caps lock of its so annoying.

If you are losing 2 quarts of oil a day, and it is leaking at the rear main only, I would say the rear main is non-existent :? If you put a 1 piece rear main seal in a 2 piece rear main seal block, that could be your problem (unless you got the adapter plate)
Is the rear oil pan seal still there?
A hole in your piston, losing oil into your exhaust system? Does it smoke out of the exhaust pipe?

Sounds like the carburetor needs some major adjusting. If it idles just fine, I would say your timing chain is fine. On the other hand, it can run and idle just fine if it's dumping WAY to much fuel in (believe me I know, from my rich running Quadrajet I had)

oh yeah im not really trying to go crazy with it or anything you know just want it so i can cruise without a problem like 300 hp and what do the kits include pistons and everything????

you know i think it might be my cat that thing is the stock one from 87 and my pipe has been cut like crazy but everytime i put oil in the car it seems to run fine

Well I'd bet the power thing is unrelated to your oil issue. If you have an oil issue causing power loss you've either got a really bad knock or a seized motor.

ok so i found my oil leak after going crazy one of the bolts was missing on the intake manifold the one next to the distributor and that where it was spilling from and as for the power idk ill have to see how it runs tomorrow and i guess my car has to much damn oil its over like 3 qt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! could that be why theres no power 2??? i took a pic of one of my hoses that broke it hooks up o the block on the exahust could this be why im losing power?????? i know you can barely see it but so you can get an idea

Dude you gotta get it out of your head that the oil leak has anything to do with you loss of power. Theres only two scenarios where an oil situation will cause a loss of power: when you loosing oil through worn rings (which technically has nothing to do with the oil anyway) and when your so low on oil theres increased friction which is really hard to do without just outright seizing the motor.

Theres a good possibility your missing intake bolt was a serious vacuum leak causing your power issue.

Umm YES ..... if you have 3 quarts of oil, more than you are supposed to have, that can definitely cause a huge power loss and "catastrophic failure" (as Pass Time would say, HaHa)

Drain your oil - put the correct amount in - replace the missing intake bolt - torque the intake bolts to the correct amount and in the correct sequence

You will be competely amazed 8)
