Well I would stick with your current heads if you want things to be the same, with that said if possible i would save up for the vortecs, you obviously want more power, porting those heads is a waste off your time, if you are doing the work and/or your money if you pay someone IMO

Yea I want some vortec heads real bad but I'm going to get married in a few months so I'm trying to save money where I can for now and later I'll get what I want, I'm just trying to get the best bang for the buck, and my cam is just the stock cam that's why I wanted the 1.6, but I'm still tossing that idea around, I will get full rocker rockers tho, my motor stock puts out around 245hp stock and 340tq, but I have tbi heads on it so I'm sure it's still around that

Well congrats on marriage, I know money can be tight so your best bet would to be just leave the car alone and save the cash, its cheaper if you do it the way you want to the first time you'll be happier in the end

Thank you, and yea your right I may just wait alittle while. I am wanting to pull the motor tho so I can repaint it and get my headers powder coated and get it ready for some car shows this summer

The 1.6 rocker is fine if you got the piston to valve clearance. The cam with In/Exh [email protected]" 207'/213' Lift (w/1.5) .415"/.430" LobSep 117' i don't think you are going to have a piston to valve problems.

I don't think I'll have a problem either, well I hope not lol, I'm wondering if I should go with 1.5 roller rockers and not worry about if 1.6 rockers will work

If you're getting a new cam anyways, I'd think it would be better to just pick the cam with the profile you want, and run 1.5 ratios rockers.

x2....1.6 rockers is a cheap upgrade to give you more out of the cam you're not happy with

I wasn't planning on getting a cam right now, my stock heads will only handle about a 470 lift or close to it and if I go with a cam then it won't be much bigger then I have now but if I go with the 1.6 it will give me like 460lift and to me that's the way to go for now since I don't have the money for heads till after I'm married, and rockers you can use on any motor so down the road I can switch them if I get a better motor mayb
