So much for "American cars don't bring big money on BaT"!
The guys who bought these cars back in '87 with the hopes that "Someday they'll be worth big money" have finally seen their ship come in and are cashing in BIG TIME. I think probably about a decade later than they'd probably hoped for but better late than never. A lot of speculators 15 or so years ago were saying that GNs in general (not particularly citing years or the GNXs) would never bring the money that cars like CoPo Camaros and Hemi cars were bring at the auctions because so many GNs were bought and parked or preserved whereas the Hemis and CoPos were raced and used up. Looks to me the GNX is now at least on par with CoPos and surpassed the Hemi cars!
These GNX sales make me wonder if the TTA values are about to skyrocket as well. I mean they're not cheap but it's basically a GNX drivetrain stuffed in a 3rd Gen Trans Am.
Bid for the chance to own a 3k-Mile 1989 Pontiac 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #12,120.

$30K in 2018.... I believe they were actually faster than the GNX as well (by like a tenth 0-60 you'd have to look it up to verify).
