Thanks- what I never imagined was no after market support for things like 1/4 panels, rear glass trim, corner lamps!(can't even repeat what unpaid for a NOS set)... When are these going to be repopped!!??
One story that was great was I was in Phoenix on business w wife n youngest, went up to DVAP boneyard, had them cut out a full 1/4 and shipped it home- came out perfect- met the guys there and my wife sent Lou Malnatti's pizzas when we returned(Chicago best deep dish)... I have many pics but at the office so I'll post more of them and the build next few days... Did the S10 brake upgrade solely on what I learned here from many of you- THANKS!

Awesome car! Awesome thread.

Thanks guys- funny thing was the sprint to get work done when I knew I was losing my bro-in-laws heated garage- was on the frame(notched it for larger wheels maybe later), and the welding in of the floor pans each weekend and many weekday nights after work for those months... Never welded before- became a good grinder as a result!- had to weld in new round bushing mounts up front, thought I'd save $$ and buy my own steel and get them cut for the notch job(mistake- should've bought the kits as I wasted a ton of time finding where they could be cut, then the trimming)- spending the $250 would've been much smarter!... The stress knowing is be making mistakes and not having time was really keeping me up at night thinking about stuff- I think we are all a bit obsessive, lol.. The UMI stage 11 kit fit like a glove- I also bought and welded in a kit to strengthen the rear LCA's...

Then, I find out NO ONE makes headers for these g body's with mechanical clutch 4 speeds, which led to the Furo Racing(Harold Furo) referral.. How doesn't header manf not make these? Anyway, he did an unbelievable job- literally slept in his truck for like 4 days making the system on site- incredible and a great guy!---

Then, no one repops or rechromes headlight and grill trim, so I got in touch with thru here, the chroming guy in Canada, in other GREAT GUY that was a blessing to meet..

It goes on and on.. Til later, thanks....

Hedman Street Headers 68310 or 68460 fit with mechanical linkage no issues at all.

i have used them in my 4 speed Malibu.

you know, I thought that as well- even their ads say that- I spoke with them directly at least 2x, they said that for a 78 Monte, it won't fit... Hedman, Hooker, a few others- I was stunned...can't remember if it was the linkage or the air conditioning but they themselves said nope.

Had AC in mine as well with a small spacer everything worked great.

If you need to know what works never ask the manufacturer.

The dummy answering the phone only knows what his or her computer screen is telling him. 😀

Either way you may have spent money money for the ones you have now,

But they sure are prettier!!!!!

A few interior shots including the rear camera and a couple of the engine
