Haha, no sh*t right! Uncle Sam has kept me busy, and the weather hasn't been the best here for bodywork so progress has been slow.

Well, as promised here are some pics. Dust is the under hood black I used. I love the finish.

The the jeep hood spring, has just the right tension to get the hood out of the latch, and not have a ton of tension on the hood while shut. The bonus is the bracket and the rubber pad, which will protect my powder coat.

Then I have the new hydro boost unit installed. A pain in the *ss to be honest, since I didn't want to scratch anything.

Then the hood pins. I used the old bumpers as a template for the square washer. Made them out of some 7075 aluminum and epoxy primer the under hood blacked them.

And with the hood shut. The hood side catch has to get modified to get the hood lower to match the header panel, but you get the just of them.

Not a whole lot to report, weather has been crappy still. Wet, rainy, and overcast. Did do some work on my cousins 84 D150 over the weekend though.

Jim,
Good to see you gradually getting back to it.

Thanks Jack, It's been hard to get anything done lately.

Did some some wrench time in on Monday. I finished sanding the intercooler scoop, added rivet nuts to hold the side swaybar holes in it. Blasted and painted the wiper trans, hood latch, and the intercooler scoop. I used the Eastwood epoxy primer and 2k under hood black.
