BUILD THREAD 81 Buick/Olds Turbo Wagon 02/15/2024 More Parts!

Waiting on the Hydroboost unit, so I started tackling little things. I have a few small wires to finish up. So I was doing that.

Also made a new label for my underhood relay/fuse panel.

Pic isn't the best, but you get the idea.

Thanks Scott!

Thanks for the info of the carpet. I have been holding off on ordering for lack of space to store it. But I'll be ordering it before long here.

Jim, just a pic for ya....surprisingly the box is fairly small (must be rolled up tight) which I'm glad because i don't have much spare room either!

Scott, Looks like you are going to have to unbox that carpet and lay it out in the sun for a while to get its shape back.

I will have to get some extra yardage also for the cargo area, like Jack.

Been working a lot lately, but my lightning rods came it, along with a proper v band clamp for my blow off valve. I also got the 1/16" npt tap for the n2o fogger nozzle. I'll get some work done to it soon.

Hey next time u need some aluminum or steel let me know. Fazio is close by and there are way cheap and has everything! ! IF I got turned loose in there and I could make anything I wanted I would have a ball. Hell I could build a pole barn, car trailer, welding table (oh wait I did that last month) a rolling cart for my cnc mill (oh yep built that to) and even car dollies. Expanded metal sheets diamond treaded aluminum or steel they have it all. Even drops to pick thru. So let me know I will grab it n take a trip down n just visit with family after. Or if any one reading this lives in central pa they are located in pottsville pa and are family owned.
Wagons going to be killer man. I like the tablet hook up! I almost did a inner fairing on my bagger that used a iPad as the gages and multi media source but the cost was to great to justify at the time so I didnt. Plus I was don't think it would survive my riding style at all!. Just wanted to say hi and looking good !!

Thanks Scott, I am sure I will be needing some metals soon! I have just been wrapped up with things here as of late, so everything has been on hold. Our shitty weather hasn't been helping either, but I guess that is a good thing since I am not missing any nice days.

Did get a little bit done. Order some more Epoxy Primer and Underhood black from Eastwood. They have a new catalyzed under hood black, sooo, I blasted everything I already painted with the old formula under hood black, and redid it. I also blasted and painted the replacement hydroboost unit. I installed that last night.

I installed the hood pins, the black anodized ones I bought a while back. I believe there are pictures in the thread somewhere. I made some square washers out of some 7075-T6 sheet I had laying around, then painted those with the under hood black.

I bought a hood pop up spring from a Jeep Cherokee, installed that also. I have to modify the hood catch in the hood, since when the hood is latched with the factory latch it doesn't pull the hood down flush with the header panel.

I also made some filler plates for the PTE intercooler scoop, since they were missing. I have to bring the riv-nut tool home from the base and install some riv-nuts to hold it.

I'll grab some pictures later and upload them. Just wanted to let everyone know there is some movement here. I will start jambing the car here in my home shop soon if my buddy isn't ready, I REALLY want this in paint for GM nationals, though the window is closing quick.
