Ok, got the left side in epoxy and 2k, just gotta block it down again, fix any nicks, and cover it in Slick sand.

The weather is crappy here, got with thunderstorms and rain, but I'll get back on it when it clears up.

Looks like I'll have a few nice days to do some work on the hood. I was at the MOPAR nationals in Carlisle PA all weekend, have a few friends that have a bunch of spots there. We just camp out in the fairgrounds and party all night.

I'll be buying some spots for the 2017 GM Nationals, and selling some stuff and getting the wagon in there. It never panned out this year with all the setback my buddy with the paint booth and I have been having. But, at least the car will be in paint and the exterior done by the GM Nats come around again.

Well, Donovan posted an update, so I have too, haha. I was doing some work to get me back in the groove. I sanded, sprayed slick sand, sanded again, and basecoat clearcoated my front and rear bumpers. The pics aren't the best, but it is some progress. I have to cut and buff them, but the clear flowed out nicely so the should look great.

Now I am back on the hood.

Geez Jim! First Donovan, now you are giving some good updates...i need to get on the ball with my cutlass lol!!! Luckily i have 2 days coming later this week to get back on mine and hope, just hope to have the whole car primed by end of saturday (fingers crossed).
Those bumpers look liked they turned out smooth for sure....speaking of hood-i finally get to mock up the jeep pop up spring this weekend (thx again for that lead)!!!
Keep it up!
Scott

Scott, I hope the hood spring works as well for you as it did for me. I have been having a hard time getting to work on the wagon as of late, but with the summer season and then I should be able to spend more time on it.
Hopefully you can get back to working on your car and posting some updates.

Agreed, between my work schedule being super crazy the last couple months and my body & paint guy being tied up with his normal day job it's been tough to get squat done! Hoping to have some updates by the end of the weekend.
The hood spring should work out, just have to bolt the hood on so i can get the placement dead on before drilling holes into a $500 hood....i know you understand that Jim.

Dammit Jim!
Why is it whenever you post, it's on and about things that were going to be next on MY agenda?!?
😵
Seriously tho, clean clean work on those bumpers. They look good on the stand, but I can't wait to see pics of 'em in color AND mounted on the car. They'll look great!

At least now I don't have to ask you if you've had a chance to make some progress over on my thread!
Just out of curiosity, what color is that, and will it be the color of the entire car? It's a bit difficult to tell in the pics...
If it's an insider trade secret, that's cool too, I totally understand. Don't want everyone and their dog painting their stuff the same!
Nice work. Tuned in for future updates as usual...
Donovan

The color will be the entire car, all trim will be black, think T-Type. The color I am gonna keep to myself for now, till it's done. Yous guys know I share pretty much everything, I'm just gonna keep this under wraps till it's done.🙂
