Sweet deal! Those are awesome for pulling out dents! Welding the trim nubs is a heck of a bonus IMO!

Had a thought this morning. If we are unable to make the e brake work and you still want a parking brake, you can run a hydraulic hand brake like the drift boys do. Most of them have a locking tab that will allow it to set like a parking brake
Hell yeah! I'll use the crap out of this thing. It has the shrinking tip, the rivet tip, just every thing I will need for the cars I am doing. That is an option for the ebrake, I think we could get it to work though. It isn't a complicated set up ya know?

Thanx Jack, hats the truth!

That's the exact same set I have!

Sweet, it had good reviews, I have used them, never owned one so when I saw this kit for the price, I bought it. It is used, but I think I got it at a nice price.

Re: 81 Century/GN Wagon build-up New Pics! Update 2/18/14

I have a small update, nothing real picture worthy just yet. In a few days maybe...

  • Blake442 has shipped me a front bumper for the Olds front clip (wagon). I should have that soon.
  • I bought the missing parts of the cruise control I needed, from a member on the turbobuick boards. Payed a few hours ago, should see next week sometime.
  • I went back to the local steel joint, picked up some cutoffs of 2x2 square tubing, and some galvanized schedule 40 pipe for the pivot points of the rotisserie.

When I get some of these things in the mail, I'll update the thread with some pictures, since we ALL like pictures. 😀

I have the replacement brackets cut and ready to go, do you want a prototype set of the zo6 rear brackets as well?

Basically you install the ls1 f-body backer plates with the caliper mounts facing forward, than the 1/2" shim goes between the backer plate and axle flange, than on the back side of the axle flange you put the 1/4" spacer than the 3/8" caliper bracket.

I still haven't researched what parking brake lines/brackets will adapt these to g-bodys

Hell Yeah! They look great! This really opens up some options for those wanting to get away from the 12 inch LS rotor in the rear.

Also gives us the ability to clock the calipers to clear the rails

Re: 81 Century/GN Wagon build-up New Pics! Update 2/18/14

I am looking to forward to using it. I have tried out to make sure worked of course, but I haven't used it for anything yet.

For those following my thread, Blake, Jack, other longroof owners. I need to weld the rivets around the rear side window frame for the aluminum trim. Does anyone have pictures and or measurements of where they factory ones are and how many? This is my 4th wagon, and I never took pictures of this. I am using the urethane stuff for the rear glass, not the window-weld ribbon tape.

As a side note, I did get some work time into my rotisserie. I'll upload a few pics in a few.
