BUILD THREAD 81 Buick/Olds Turbo Wagon 02/15/2024 More Parts!

Re: 81 Century/GN Wagon Update 6/17/14 Chassis assembly!!!

Thanks guys. I have a few parts coming from Summit and Kirbans, so I can finish up a few things. The next week week I will be on the body underside, stripping off old undercoating and cleaning up some surface scale/rust. I NEED to get the body back on the frame soon!

Jack, I AM going to Carlisle next year, the car will be done. I hope g-body gets another get together for it. That would be a long haul for you though!

Jim,
I know it's a long drive to Carlisle from here. It was a long drive when I still lived in NY. I'll try to make next year.. It would be something to look forward to. Hopefully I'll be able to have the car road worthy with working A/C. 😀

Having A/C would be a necessity, lol.

Amen to that, brother. No heater or A/C delete for me. I wonder if I should should also try to re-install my cruise control.
It would also be nice to have overdrive...that's important, even with 3.08 gears. Unfortunately, my 200-4R is currently in a hundred pieces. :?

Re: 81 Century/GN Wagon Update 6/17/14 Chassis assembly!!!

I agree with the overdrive, I have put it in every car I have had the past 10 years, don't know how I ever got along without it. I had bought all the parts I need to put cruise back in this car also, took some time to find the right parts (turbo Buick), but I have everything now. 😀

Should get a shipment from summit today, my tube nuts and sleeves, a few fitting, and my SLP Loud Mouths.

I've done a little work on the fuel rail, and fuel pressure regulator. I welded -8 AN on the fuel feed and -6 in the regulator.
