On May 30th my brother in law and one of my best friends (Car road trip buddy) passed away at 52. It was a shock to
say the least, and we've been working through it. So most car stuff came to a holt, but I did try to keep my self
busy when I had time. So now the garage is finally clean, all parts (alot of parts) are all in order and started putting up
a new shelter for one of the cars.

I started stripping down the 400 and finally figured theres just not enough time so I loaded it
up and sent it out. Last week it was stripped and acid washed, then a 4 step wash and to be
magna fluxed. Heres a few pics. More on the motor later.
Sent the grills out for rechroming along with some of my Dune buggy parts. Should be back in
4 more weeks. Grills $350 per grill!
Next week hope to start working on cleaning up the 8.5 Rear for the wagon.

I really got lucky on that one, win some and lose some. This was a win!
I toyed around with different colors, doing the car two tone, even thought about doing it in red and changing the
interior color. But im gonna keep it blue, may go with 69 chevelle blue.

He did the body work, and for the most part im happy with that. He also did the headliner and that im not
happy with, all the clips got broken and he didnt tell me about it so it basically was falling down on the way
home from the shop. He was supposed to back weld all the roof rack holes so when the headliner comes down
Ill know if they are, if they are filled I wont be happy.

Got a lucky break today, a buddy of mine called and found a 400 pontiac motor completely redone, never run
with reciepts. the guy will let me have it for $1800. Saw a few pics and got some phone information. Sounds
like the real deal. Gonna check it out and if its legit, I'll post some pics.
