Lookin' good! I wish my project was moving this fast.

Thanks G-Body_Vet but after looking at your thread your moving along much better than I am. The real work
hasn't even started yet. Plus I made the mistake of trying to do more than one car at the same time.

The motor looks like a done deal, comes with reciepts and complete pics of build also new headers, elect distrib., Holley
650 carb, all brackets, powersteering pump blasted and painted. Looks to be about 350hp, which is fine for now.
Heres a few pics, also the guy is going to complete the assembly of the motor so its turn key $1800! More pics and
info when its at the house.

I didnt like how the new driveway was looking so I widened it and layed down some 4by6s to trim it out. the frame work
is anchored down and I'll put the cover on it after we get the Hurrican this weekend.
Next is Drivetrain and front suspension, this engine will speed things up a bit so I need to get moving. More pics to follow on the build
Found a really good paint and body guy, hes stopping over this weekend to look over the 3 cars I want paint work done on.
Yea three, I've also thought about buying the equipment and doing the painting myself, so we'll see how it goes.

$1800 isn't bad for turn-key 400 with the paperwork. A lot of people that have never rebuilt an engine don't know what goes into a rebuild (I used to be one of these people myself). Between what I've already done to my heads, buying a running 455 core, cleaning, decking, and line bore; I'm already about $2200 into it. We still have the final bore, pistons, rings, crank polishing, balancing, bearings and rods on the plate. I'm already eating the fact that I'll be close to $5K by the time I get all of the accessories and what-not to make it run.

The 400 should motivate your wagon nicely. Looks like a nice engine. It would have probably cost you more to build one.
Keep up the good work and Keep the pics coming.

Great project! 350 hp isn't bad when you make 450 ft lbs  . That thing should scoot nicely. What cars came with the aluminum support? I've never heard of that.

Keep the progress coming!

Thanks guys, If all goes well I think the new motor is a great deal. I just sent my 400 out for a total rebuild and I'm being
told with what the machinest is suggesting for the build it would be around $6000 so I'll just slow that build down and use
this one for now.

The aluminum radiator support came from a 78-79 regal, I think a small number of early A-G bodies came with them
I dont know if its just the regal or all of them.
