Dam dude, some ambitious body work going on there... most would re-body at that point.
I have some NOS inner rockers at the shop I can take some photos of if that helps you with the area by the shoulder belt pocket and the wheel house.

It sure is some ambitious work, glad to see you tackling it though.

Got the body support welded in today. But welded the two pieces then added some extra metal to help support it, Its probably overkill but when I weld it from the bottom I don't have to worry about burning through

Its sitting really close to the frame right now but roughly measuring whats left of the other side and eyeballing it its were it needs to be or I could be completely wrong.

@ Pasikialnen thanks for the info, im going to have to get a body bushing kit. Most of the bushings and washers on the bottom side have fell of and disappeared long ago.

It wouldn't be worth it to re-body the car because the frame needs rear frame horns and to fix the bushing holes. Im just fixing this For kicks n' grins and the experience for the next project

@ 88Hurstolds Im more or less looking for the profile of the wheel house in that area so that when I patch in the lower quarter it fits nice, thanks tho. I found a place here in Newbrunswick that will sell me the Goodmark OEM style rockers so I might have to wait till then so I can mock it all up. Im going to try and get way with using the original quarter skins.

Started this weekend by undressing the rear end, pulled all the wiring and trim. Since I have to wait for the outer rocker to continue up front I decided to focus on the quarter and trunk. Again the pass side is much worse then the driver.

Hackery

Someone brazed and riveted this patch in here and ran a bolt all the way through to the bottom of what is left of the frame

Continued by cutting off the quarter panel. I wanted to save it but I wouldn't be able to do this right without removing it.

So this is what the east coast does to cars. Glad I got a set of Conrad Lozier's frame rails when I was home in Ontario for holidays.

Removed this little piece to make more room

Cleaned back to good metal. The body not the frame

does anybody have excess to this measurement here, from the top bolt hole on the pass frame to the seam weld under the taillights. It would help alot.

Holy cow man, nice work... When you repair the outer lip of that inner fender, please show some pics. My 78 monte needs new metal welded and "rolled" to simulate the old so I can spot weld the new quarter to it. They don't make these in the aftermarket for the monte. You replacing the whole frame? Thanks

EME, just when I thought my 80 Monte was bad I saw your thread. You are awesome to on-take a project like this. I just put my body back on the frame, after what I thought was extensive rust repair(until seeing your thread). The measurement on my car is about 2-3/8".
