Been debating adding the vinyl woodgrain trim around the car once it's painted. Should I do it?

Thanks guys! It's great to be out enjoying it, even if I don't have anywhere to go!
When I put the slots on there 11 years ago, it seemed like nobody was running them anymore...
Within 2 years the repops were flyin' and now I see them so much I'm tempted to try something else.
I doubt I'll do anything soon, but I've been eyeing up some options of what might look good on there...
I love the slots. I think they really suit the car.

Me too!
Usually I just need to polish them up and I fall back in love with them lol
Yeah, when you let them turn dull they don't look as pleasing to the eye. I gotta admit, they do work well on your wagon.

I went to the junkyard last Saturday looking for a few things I didn't find...
But what I DID get were a nice set of tailgate bumpers, one of the final pieces that I had yet to acquire!

Shown below are the 'new' ones on the left, the smushed originals on the right, and a typical door bumper below for comparison.
I talked with a rep from Metro Rubber here in Mpls. last summer and he had told me to swing by so we could compare it to what they offer...
Guess I saved myself a trip! I couldn't believe I got them out without them breaking!

Yeah man, the junkyard can be your friend sometimes. That's where I found all my little bumpers, fortunately without ripping the t*ts off of them.

I can't believe you found another wagon in the junkyard!
Quinn,
There is a big junkyard out there in Minnesota with a bunch of G-body wagons. Finding a wagon in the junkyard down here is an optimistic endeavor. You have a better chance of hitting the lottery.

Same here. A Cutlass or Elco occasionally. A wagon, forget it.

Plenty of wagons to pick from up here...
The car I got the bumpers from is practically a twin to mine.

This just showed up in my facebook memories yesterday from a few years ago...

Getting the motivation to swap the rear yet?

Wagontastic!

I never take enough photos when I'm there...
