'83 Cutlass Cruiser Build Thread

Been debating adding the vinyl woodgrain trim around the car once it's painted. Should I do it?

Welp, axle swap is on hold...
The more I stared at those NOS brake cables, I knew I need to take the time to clean and paint it before I install it...
We'll see how quick I move lol

Lucky me, some responsibilities fell thru yesterday and I ended up with time to run out to my buddies and give it a pass with the wire-wheel...
Today is the first in weeks that hasn't been unbearably humid, so I hit it with a quick coat of paint this morning.
I'm going to have to replace one of the backing plates because the hole for the brake cables is junk. Worry about that later...
Just need to swap out the brake hose and it's ready to slide under the car!

Ooof! It's been too hot to want to take the car out...
I drove it once last week and the fuel gauge started working again!
Although, only briefly... but still positive news! Likely just a bad ground...

I'm tempted to grab a fresh pair of springs for the rear before I take everything apart.
The car already had variable-rate cargo coils on it when I got it... but I don't like them...
Any suggestions/recommendations? I'm not really looking to change the height too much...

Blake, thanks for the flashback. I did a search and found where in the thread you filled the roof rack holes. I would like to do this to my wagon as well, but I am not ready for that much commitment paint-wise. So I bookmarked that page for future reference. Hard to believe that was six years ago.

I am curious to see the replacements for the jellybeans...
