Been debating adding the vinyl woodgrain trim around the car once it's painted. Should I do it?

How hard was that emblem to find?

Very! I kept a pretty close eye on eBay for about 2 years before this one showed up a few days ago.
NOS like this one is almost non-existent, and originals are always trashed...

Very cool, it's gonna look great. I look for years for stuff also. Great when you finally find one.

Nice score, Blake.
Ah, the subtle differences. You were definitely a man on a mission...kinda like me looking for those Euro taillight lenses. It took me about 10 yrs before I finally was able to put my hands on a set.

Nice, looks great Blake!

Thanks guys!
The hunt is part of the fun!
I had a few other parts over the years that proved to be rather elusive, but that just made getting my hands on them that much sweeter!
Last week I ordered up some clips for the rear-most headliner trim piece and some clips for the impact strip for the front bumper.
The bumper will be dropped off next week for re-chroming...

Well it's finally warm enough to have the garage door open so it's time to get to work!

Went out to Rohner's last week for my spring time wagon combing but didn't find much worth taking.
The most important thing I did get was the measurements for the front bumper shocks, so I know how much to shorten mine...
All I bought was a couple small clips for the Roadbarge. They're moving lots of stuff around out there so we'll see how it looks in the fall!

Spent some time yesterday cleaning up the aluminum front bumper reinforcement.
I didn't get too carried away since 75% isn't visible, and the part that you can see actually looks halfway presentable. Also I'm lazy.
Next week I'll acid etch it to get it clean and then give it a few nice coats of sealer.
A little AlumaBlast along the visible part and I think that's all it will need.

I picked up the bumper(s) today and they look great!
It was pricey, and they aren't perfect, but since nicer=more $$ I think they look great as they are! lol
I'll get some paint on the back sides of the upper and lower pieces as well and start cleaning up the hardware I'll need to re-use.
Forgot to take pics outside so you'll have to settle for them hanging from the ceiling of my garage...

Still plenty to keep me busy! :wax:  :wax:
