So I did a little fender rolling and took some brief measurements. I didn't think I'd have almost 13 inches. A 305 tire is 12 inches. I'd have to be spot on with backspace but I'm thinking a 295 would be easy. What say you?
I still have some rolling and hammer work on inside as some of the inner fender rolls out past the frame towards the ends of the notch.

295/40-20 on a 10" wheel. Frame notched & wheel well inner flanges massaged (only to minimize sharp edges)...

That is one tall tire! Looks great
Agreed. It was from a previous build under a 74 Chevy truck. We were using them just for clearance mock-up @ the time. Most likely the combo I would use would be 18x9 & 18x10 w/a 27" max tall rear tire. Rail was notched to the factory seam in the pics & no front inner wells.

Not sure on fronts yet but going with an 18x10 with 5.5 backspace and 295 40r18 or 295 35r18. Have to figure out what ride height will be best

Those are the 2 sizes I've been looking @ for the rear as well.

Wow I'll be interested to see how those fit on the front. My 275's on a 9.5" wheel with 5.25" just fit without touching anything
