Don't you just hate wasting time. When you buy something that's supposed to fit and of course it doesn't. And you can't return it because you already cut it up?
These were supposed to be the correct upper and lower radiator hoses. The bottom hose is way too tight on idler arm bolt and the upper needs about an inch and a half more left to right length.
Arggggg. Maybe I'll have to use a flexible lower? Any and all suggestions. Thanks View attachment 155045View attachment 155047View attachment 155048
First thing I'd do is figure out a way to turn the idler mounting hardware around.
Second recommendation is to 'hard-pipe' some of the system if necessary. I've used hose w/pipe fittings (exhaust or stainless tubing) on more than one ride but I have easy access to discarded stainless in various sizes. It allowed me to take a radiator hose(s) w/curves that work & splice a line together that clears things as needed.

A coat hanger bent as a template works to give you an idea of hoses that might provide the bends/transitions for an optimum set-up to your specific group of parts.

My buddiy that builds hot-rods for a living will piece together exhaust or stainless tubing sections & just use hose to connect the ends (the tubing gets high-temp coated inside/out) & then paints the outside in a satin/under-hood black.

Just some ideas.....

Pulled out the interior to find a good place to run wires. Didn't know about this neat black track that runs the length of the car on both sides. My chevelles never had that!

Floor has very minimal surface rust. Probably going to clean and scuff really well then maybe rust convertor? What say you... the experts View attachment 155639
Send it!!!! Floor looks great! Just do a scuff and clean, then maybe a coat of POR15 or similar and call it a day.
Yeah the black wiring holders are nice! Perfect spot to run wires.

just a heads up, you might wanna bolt the driver seat in so you can get the shifter location right. Maybe the pic, but looks a little too much forward to me.
I did that brother. That's where it has to go with the bench seat. I'm going to fab up a mount a little longer towards the rear (under seat) and tack it to the floor. I'll mount it where it sits for the bench and add provisions on mount to move it further rearward if i ever get buckets

I have everything to finish the car except base coat and primer surfacer. May need more epoxy primer but that's it. For now anyway
I was evaluated extensively and have been found to be permanently disabled.
Future bucket plans/consideration? If so, I'd dbl check the fit/feel for a bucket as well. That floor does look clean.
