A couple of questions. These were 'rivets' from vinyl top. Cutoff wheel and sanded down. Do I drill them out then weld holes? Are they aluminum?

Looking closely this corner and rear corner seem to have a dab of lead or solder/brazing material

After I button up seem and the rivets mentioned above I am ready to epoxy prime. This quarter is very straight and I cannot find even the smallest ding. Yet anyway. Feels good to accomplish this and yes it is labor intensive but the feeling of accomplishment is a good one. Tomorrow will be low 60's so I should get it done.

those weren't rivets per say, they were a steel nub tacked in place to hold the clips in place.flatten them out and you're all set.

I can do that!!!

Next question... For that amount of sheet metal, how much epoxy primer would you mix up for 2 coats? I'm thinking 8 to 10 oz...total
I would mix 10, if you think you need 8. Throw away 2 rather than run out and mix more after. Someone smarter will hopefully chime in with better advice, but that's my $0.02.

I wouldn't spray epoxy until you have 24 straight hrs at 70. It will go dormant and lose adhesion at lower temps. If you don't touch that panel with your hands it won't rust by the time our weather improves. It took around 64 oz to put 3 wet coats on the underbody of my monte if that helps.

Makes sense. Thank you. Maybe I'll put heat on overnight also

metal temp is important vs overall room temperature etc.say heating the room to xyz temperature 24 hours prior the surface will be up to temp by default.
