I was bored so I took my lower door panels and rear seat area side panels and got some burgandy paint on them, it covered pretty well with a few coats of adhesion promoter. I know its pretty pointless to be worrying abt this now but whatever the more I've knocked out before spring the better. I bought a center console missing the lid on ebay for 80$ I. Had a lid and another busted console in the trunk so I can make one nice one out of these parts woohoo. Gonna need the lighting rod top plate real soon if things pan out the way they're supposed to.

I get around 8 mpg with my 455 and th400....Ive heard multiple ppl say they get around 15 mpg with a 4 speed

IMO, only the owners of the most clean, original, low miles documented vehicles should worry about collector value. I'm no collector, but honestly I'd rather have a sweet H/O with a 375 hp sbo, than that gutless boat anchor that came in it.

Nice project.. I want one!

Yea I think I'm gonna pass on the 455 buddy lol 8mpg, I wanna drive more than sit at a gas station but I bet that torque is nothing to play with. 15mpg wouldn't be bad but id never get that the way I keep my foot on floor so the 350 is most definately the way to go for me.

Thanks, btw I'm buying everything you're selling, I wanna have a great original looking very fun to drive car and the best way for "me" to do that is with a 375hp sbo 350. Mine is pretty clean body wise but with the scoop, spoiler, shifter, repairing my front lower spoiler, and swapping my other doors on I think this car should some tasteful upgrades

I would pull the 307 engine and put it in the corner.I would collect all the parts that make it an H/O as money and time permit. I would go with a pre 76 olds small block solid main engine and make it look stock but with headers and intake.Build the car for yourself. What is your budget $$$ ? Are you going to do a frame off? If I had a big budget I would get all the factory alum parts and build the ultimate H/O. I would also go with the 403 or dx if I had the $$$$. I would do a frame off and have all the parts sand blasted and painted, I would also swap all the rusted sheet metal with rust free such as doors, trunk lid, fenders. I would patch any other rust spots on the body shell or frame

I WOULD FIND A RUST FREE COMPLETE H/O THAT IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND SAVE TIME AND MONEY
I would still up grade the engine 350/403/dx engine of your choice

This is just a few options,I would do the last option based on past experience you are always farther ahead when you start with a clean complete car.
Good luck with your build enjoy

If I don't get too caught up in traffic, the 442 will get 10-12 mpg out of a 455/th400 and 3.73's...

Yes those are good option but I found the cleanest g body available considering I'm in Illinois, again the only metal need to be replaced are the doors, the frame, qtrs, floors, trunk, decklid, core support, roof, etc are all in good shape with surface rust so I think its in pretty damn good shape. The only hurts parts I'm missing are the air cleaner, spoiler and hood scoop, lightning rod shifter plate. I read somewhere that the 350 was the best option compared to the 403, maybe it was wrong tho idk. I know I just loved the 350 that was in myRegal it was responsive as hell, pretty sure it was a stock 75 motor.

Is the extra tq worth having the front end heavier? I'm not looking for a world beater just a fun powerful decent handling car ya kno
