New arrival from Strange Engineering!

Lightweight bumper brackets coated in por 15. Did more bodywork on the drivers door. Wish I would have just bought a new shell to begin with. Paid too much for the one I have and I have had to put a lot more work into it than I ever imagined. This build is definately a learning process.
I finally broke down and bought a mig welder. Going to teach myself to weld as soon as I get some time to pick up a filled bottle. Why no weekend hours, welding supply companies?

I have almost everything for the rear suspension to get the s60 up underneath the car. The UMI ultimate uppers came in and I got their poly housing bushing pushed in. Moroso trick springs should be in this week so I can mount everything.

The rear is ready to go in.

The chassis is all coated except where the cage will be welded in. Still working on the damn driver's door. Really wishing I would have bought a new one.

Got the rear in and the motor mounts. Making some real progress. Getting close to making it a roller again. Everything is going together really well. UMI makes some beautiful parts.

Scored a 4L80e so I'm gonna go overdrive, give the valvesprings a break on the way to the track. Still gonna be full manual, reverse pattern with a transbrake after the rebuild. Gonna start looking for a reputable transmission place in the Western Pa area to take it to.
Also started welding my cage in. Only have the main hoop in so far.

Relocated the door handle to clear the cage. Welded in a couple more bars before I had to go in the house and put up a new light fixture and window treatments. Haha

New core support came in. I hit it with a coat of por-15. Finished connecting the cage to the frame, cleaned it all up and coated it except where the floor pieces go in. I am going to start making some templates for those.
