Why do you think aftermarket seats with more side bolstering are not comfortable? I find mine very comfortable, more so than any factory seat I've ever been in.

Why do you think aftermarket seats with more side bolstering are not comfortable? I find mine very comfortable, more so than any factory seat I've ever been in.
These do look nice. What are they?
When I think aftermarket seats I think 90's Honda with some seat that has 1/2" of padding and a giant logo stitched into the head rest.
I'll be honest I'm not informed about seat options when it comes to aftermarket stuff.
These are some ebay specials I got years back. They have good side bolstering and really hold you in the seat. They're comfortable, recline almost flat too.
They are actually Amazon specials, along with the mounting brackets. I was concerned not being able to sit in them first but I would've had all the same issues even with a high end name brand seat. We'll see how they hold up, but so far so good.

Well I started fabbing the brackets but not enough to report.
I did a bit more thinking and feel I have a better belt routing. Either plan i choose the tensioner is a lot easier to implement.
Plan A is this. I am going to flip the grooved tensioner with the flat one on the Alt/PS bracket and make a standoff from my blower belt idler and try to dodge the water pump. I think I can ditch my smooth idler on the Alt/PS bracket and wrap everything a bit different. I'm not sure it will clear between the water pump and the belt however.
Plan B is slightly less fab but its a really long unsupported run from the first grooved idler to the AC pump so I am skeptical it won't throw a belt.

This is what I started with trying to mount the stock truck compressor and why I gave up on it.

Used a set of thread transfer punches. I picked up a set when I saw them watching Finnegan's garage on the ole youtube. Real nice for transfering hole positions.
And lower bracket bolted in place. Need to build the ears still obviously.
I think enough room to the cross member, frame rail, and should be enough room to access the fittings.
Need to do some chopping on the top bracket. Going to move it up 1/2" so the lower mount ear on the compressor clears the idler arm on the steering better. Also should free up some space for the AC fittings near the frame. I need to weld a gusset at 90° running the length of the bracket from the back to the front. The notch on top is to clear a boss on the block and there won't be much left of the bracket by the time I get done if I don't brace it.

Played around with belt routing, I will need to add a idler between the AC and Alt idler but none of the existing brackets work so I have to rebuild my blower idler to have a second screw location. Not a huge deal but one more thing to do.
I cut the upper bracket 1/2" shorter to pull the compressor up and it clears the idler arm nice now. Fabbed the lower ears and tacked the onto the bottom bracket.
Dug through my parts pile and found the factory aluminum evaporator to condensor line and drier. I also found a random R4 compressor line that I cut apart to test fit for line clearance on the compressor, looks good!
I need to order another idler pulley, some compressor fittings and a supercharged 3800 tensioner for the main drive. Once I get those parts in I can fab the tensioner bracket and be in business! Then it's off to Dad to have him make the AC lines and should be driving in luxurious AC.
Only need to make 2 18" lines, one from the compressor to the drier and the other from the compressor to the condenser, and both look like easy routings.
