86 GP project

[08Malibu]

Picked up a rad, 2+2 rear bumper, and another plate surround. I figured which ever one is in worse condition will get painted.
Plan for the car is to black out all the trim like a 2+2. At some point I’ll be listing the NOS quarter windows, and all of the lower chrome I have for the car. 1 set that’s in really good shape, and the other that has a couple pieces that are below grade.

Pulled all the chrome trim off today. Pretty much rust free underneath. All the trim is for sale. The good stuff is in the pic of the hood, the bad is in the pile on the ground.
I can’t wait to get the 36 done so I can start working on this car.

I sold the NOS dash bezel and quarter windows, that came with the car, this am. Add that in with the skins I sold previously, and I’m into this car for a whopping $100. Hopefully I can keep the trend going when I start working on it more.

The listing never made it on here. As soon as I put it up on the FB GP group a guy messaged me locally he wanted it. Didn’t even last 5 minutes. Looking back I probably could’ve listed it for even more than I did, but that’s not me.

Put the roller up on marketplace for $3000. I have to sell either this car or the beetle. Kids want the beetle or both, I want both, my wife wants none. If anyone is interested pm me. I’ll put it up in the for sale section when I get a chance.

A TH350 popped up on marketplace so I picked it up. Supposedly a good trans, at a core price. Have an engine and converter. Need a new crossmember, driveshaft, and some time to throw it in.
