86 GP project

Got my jegs crossmember and formula wheels today. Couple more parts and time to start assembly. I might have a guy lined up to do the bodywork for me, to save some time. I’ll do final block and paint if I go that route. We’ll see what happens. First I need to get it running.

Let us see pictures with the formula wheels installed when you get to it.

Picked up the driveshaft yesterday. Once I get back from vacation the beetle is going away, and the engine and trans for this car are coming home. I have to get them sorted, and swap the headers in my Malibu, then I’ll bring the GP home to get it together. Of course I have three side jobs lined up when I get back as well, so it won’t be a really quick process.

I finally got my GP back from the mechanic. The car had not crank, no start. after taking the starter off to tested, I saw a couple of burnt ignition wires at the starter so I changed those, still nothing until we got to the ignition switch. Any way I also got to put on my reproduction GTA Wheels from Jeggs and the car looks great with these new shoes (at least to me). View attachment 20230802_085754.jpg

Need a torque converter and flex plate for the car. I posted in the wanted section if anyone local to me has one.
