Started gutting the car plans are to take it to the frame
Rear frame rails have rust termites holding it together
Going to replace with boxed steel
This car is getting leaf springs 8.8 Ford F-150 rear Cal trac
400 sbc 350th
Would like to set the motor back 10”
Make room up front for the fuel cell
Motor plate

I'm confused now. You are doing major chassis mods to the car, cutting the firewall out, moving the engine back and you don't plan on going faster than 11.49? You are losing all of the strength of the body by modifying the firewall, and you aren't going to at least put a 6 point roll bar to tie the new frame pieces you are putting in to the original frame? What is going to hold the motor plate in place? With a motor plate, you need a mid plate and lateral limiters.

As far as I know, any track that does a real tech inspection will require a chassis cert. on a car with modified firewall or floor

So now that you went off on something thats not set in stone
Lets wait till I get to that point to start throwing stones maybe I will only end up setting it back 4” thank you

I'm sorry I thought this was a forum asking questions from experienced racers with NHRA licenses that have competed in Super Gas, Super Stock and Super Pro Eliminator with multiple cars. But now I see its for make believe ideas and when you question them you are wrong. I'm out.
