But as 69hurstolds pointed out if it really is a Salon and it is all original it will have the MX0 200-4R 4speed auto.

Wheres the pics?!?!?!?!?!

I won't have pics until probably Fri when I get a chance to look at it on the lift : WTF? I'm just trying to see what to look for so I have some better info to negotiate when the inspection day gets here ! LOL ! I want to (Maybe) sound like I have some knowledge about the basic Car I'm looking at !!! Thanks a bunch for passing along the info and I'm sure it'll help !!!

A very nice car. I've seen some trophies awarded for the Salon. In fact, the Salon at one show was First and mine Second. Anyways, the Oldsmobile's are up significantly to $10,000 including that year. He most likely knows that, "He is not dumb by any means". Would I pay $9500.00: "No way". Is he the original owner; another important facet that factors into selling price? The price would be $6500.00 tops and most likely he will not accept that figure. That vehicle must have the (Y) or (9) or it is definitely 'out of the question'.

* I still have the 'original' book with full pics, including production figures of my vehicle.

That just jarred my memory. My dealer salesman who sold me my 85 442 gave me an entire box full of that very book in late 85. Had it in the back seat of his demo car when we went out to lunch one day when I stopped in to get the oil changed. I don't even recall if I ever opened it.

* Do you still have the book(s)? I also have the original sticker as seen in my YouTube video. Anyways, the good old days. I wished to purchase the Olds' 442 H.O. but the salesman talked me into the Supreme that was on the lot. The wait was about a month to get the 442 as I was in need of a car and the circumstances didn't allow me to wait. No matter, you can't take it with you.

* Do you have the production numbers on your car? I pasted mine on the book whereas I would not forget. Obtained directly from Oldsmobile, "Cannot recall when".

* It is nice to hear those stories. I had to re-edit to say , 'The people were nowhere as greedy as they are today'> just friends among many. Today, in this generation, "They're all thieves looking to snare or entrap the unsuspecting. I do not care for it, not one bit. This is why I am still with God until such time that my soul gets redeemed. Keep the faith, it is far more valuable than anything in this world.
