Got some action. Milodon deep oil pan is dressed in chrome. Used a Felpro gasket and some "Right Stuff" gasket maker. Hope it seals! LOL!

My Tuff Stuff Chrome alt came in along with my March AC nose cone cover. These are 100% brand new this time around. The Nose cover will have to be polished out tho. Still up in the air if I want the Edelbrock water pump in Endurashine. More loot! I'll wait and see. Thought about spraying the pump blue. Might look clean with the chrome pulley over it...Bout to lay it down for a lil bit and start tearing the front clip off. Gotta notch it and I wanna sandblast a few parts and clean a few things up. OUCH!! Bug bit me again

Fam I apreciate you swangin back thru and checking her out. Yep! Its my daily. LOL! All my peeps that know me know how ridiculously anal I am about auto detail. I spend my lunch time (10:30pm) detailing the El when she was at her finest. LOL! Time to get her back on track. And I know Im gonna be even worse about cleanin her up than I was. LOLOL!

Todays goal is to pull the front end off, clean up the parts and prep for some paint, notch the header panel out give the old girl a bath-clean the interior out.....Then I can see what Im workin with...

Preciate that brotha!! I went a lil over what I wanted to do. But you know how it is. You pull a part and clean things up. Then you start putting it back together and you're like "oh hell naw! I gotta clean that up now!" HAHA

Thanks Saint!! It will be cool for a daily driver. There were a few other things I was gonna do but this is cool. With all the fresh paint and degreased bay and parts, it will look ok for daily usage  Thanks for checking back

well i must say damn warren the bct is gonna be clean. i think we found next years trophy winner for cleanest el...damn you are putting in some major work....

Really appreciate that D!! I was hoping to see you this weekend (with the weather being so sweet). Hopefully next weekend will be just as nice. Its getting there. I need to stay focused. LOL! I keep seeing things I "Need to clean up" when I mock parts up. LOL! You know how it is. I end up putting on my "hater glasses" and I see what needs to be tended to-"Hater Vision" points out all the lil flaws that them dudes will try to point out no matter how clean a job youve done. LOL! I need to keep in mind that Tha BCT is for daily usage. "Street custom" maybe??

Ok. Took advantage of the SWEEEET weather this weekend and got some work done. At the request of my Club Prez (Elco Mel), I only pulled the El's header panel. I did have a bad case of "Kuruptionitis" tho. But Mel talked me thru it and I managed to only pull the header panel  I tagged and bagged all the nuts/bolts and took em into work right quick for a sand blast. This El is so OG that is still has all the condenser mounts and radiator rubber feet! Ive never seen any of this stuff before. My SS was all stripped down. I pulled any metal brackets off the header and blasted em for a nice coat of black.

Header is off. I had to notch the center section out so my trans and motor oil coolers would fit behind it. Taped it off to make a clean line and broke the 4" cutting wheel out..

Test fit before paint. I dropped the stock condenser in (which will be replaced with a new one frome a 91-92 Maro Z28-Thanks TC1959 and Dave for the help :!: )

Back off for the "back taping"-tape job and I scuffed the surface with a green scotch-brite. Tested a lil area out with some acetone and cleaned it up. Blew it down and sprayed some low gloss black enamel over it. Bout 4 coats.

Sandblasted these and cleared em. I have another set that will be polished or chromed for "show use"

6229171983_24085557dc_z.jpg

Right before I pulled the header and reprayed. LOL! THis is where that bug bit me. Bay looked perfect right? "Elco! Why mess with it? You're ridin a gravy train with biscuit wheels doggy!!"" right? LOL! I couldnt help myself. I degreased it and blew it off...
