when its time for the ss to get ls 6.0 we will also be getting the ss smog legal too.... im down to help on this cause i want to see warren get this ride on the road.....

Thats gonna be a tuff one cuz Im beefin it up and putting twins on it. I'll see wassup. Just want something that has that serious "WOW!!" factor when I pop the hood. I got a few tricks up me ole sleeve :wink:

Started back on the old guy yesterday. Tearing the front apart for the clean up and complete redo on the fire wall, fender wall, wheel wells (thanks Mel!) frame hors, air dam, radiator core support (powder coat)---The works. Right now Im just takin it apart and bagging/taggin' up the bolts and nuts and stuff. Took the nose off and then was called to dinner..

For the rush job I did on the bay, it came out nice. It also gave me a "cheap" preview to how it would look when I smoothed the firewall, fender walls and mold the ac plate in. Now its time to grind and make the real thing happen

This is the sexiest looking front end ever!! Its comin your way this weekend Mel!!!

I put a quick 30 second vid up on youtube and got a reply "you sure like to tear it all apart!!" haha! Yessir. I want to know what I got! Clean it all up and know for a fact that its done right. Well done to the best I can ya dig. Im also good at putting it all together too!! My crew will back me up 1000% on that!!

Future home of a ls (?) with twins

This might go back in for a quick sec while I save for the 6.0 and trans. A bud of mine from another forum did a Z06 Vette six speed and it came out wicked Thats the route Im goin. Gotta have it!! But this 700 and a lil 350 might go back in while I save...

Cleaning it up..I used some acetone to take it all the way to a raw finish like we did on the El's 200. Didnt get pics tho

Hit it with a red scotchbrite and some 220 sand paper. Then cleaned it and primered

Paint-Used whatever black I had left over from the "Wellz by Warren" mods I was doin..

I let the paint cure for a few hours and then used a few stickers I had layin around..

Did the servo in aluminum for some detail-not that anyone would see it but wth!

Cleaned up the 2400 stall, Clean metal primer and aluminum colored high temp paint

These parts will have plenty of time to cure in the garage. It will be months before they are put back into service....They will eventually make it into my other project: "Tha Alibu" :wink:

I'll finish the front tear down in the morn. Gonna start stripping all the old paint off. The frame will get a POR-15 treatment. After everythings done im swapping in som Spohn (sp?) tie rods and those cool looking silver sleeves. Then the SC&C front brace (chromed of course and chrome out my Hotchkis swaybar) This will be a slow rebuild as Im researching how to go about doing alot of the mods I want to do... First major mod will be the SC&C/Currie Ultimate 9 rear end. Been eyeballin this rear for years. Time to make moves. Startin from the rear end, rear suspension, driveshaft on up to the front end. Spohn and Hotchkis gear. Then the Motor "The OG Iroc King"..Stay tuned

Ok. Just put another hour in. Glad I did all this. Gettin him prepped. Ordering the rest of my Spohn front end stuff-tie rods, center link and those uber cool end link sleeves. Also ordering the SC&C front triangle bar-of course its getting Chrooooomed! Thats whats its all about Big Saint. Keeping everybody motivated in the crew. We all get it crackin with our rides and motivate the next member to get to wrenchin. Thanks Dave!! Man I cant wait to see the El. Got a lil bit more done and I can now start the strip down..Everything is all tagged and bagged and put on a shelf. Makes things way easy to put back together..

Man o man! Me too! Its lookin pretty good over here bruh. Pullin the fenders, brake booster/master, windshield motor and AC delete plate. Time to get it all back to metal... PROGRESS!!! Taking the bumper, air box and headlight bezels to clean and sandblast em at work tonight. sh*t I better hit the sack. LOL! Be up in 8 hours and let the fun begin!

PROGRESS!!-In my Kuruption voice Took the parts to work that I could fit in the parts cooker/cleaner and sandblaster...

Air dam section... Pretty big part but I worked it out. Couldnt sandblast it as good as I wanted to. It was pretty cramped in there. But it looks decent...

After...Pretty tight fit. Had a hard time getting the gun to point down in the corner. Better than nothing. I can use a wire brush to get the rest..

Remflex Header gaskets. Never EVER having a leak. These are the biz. Pricey tho $35 :shock: This along with my locking header bolt setup I should be good...

That transmission is so wet man you a wizard with them spray cans and you done went and took the front end off to do some painting and powder coating .Whens the madness gonna stop ,you killin me man ,everytime I look at one of your threads i gotta go back to the drawwing board lol,good work man keep that inspiration coming...
