the mounts are there and they sell conversion uppers. I use UMI conversion uppers. If you do find a 9" rear end for a cheap price make sure you or someone you trust put a straight edge down the axle tubes.
Ok thx man

I don't know how much hp you have but I have an 8.2" A body rear and that can handle upwards of 500 hp. JBrue's 12 bolt can handle more than that. if you are considering an A body chevelle rear end this is some info I posted in another thread....

the A body 64 to 67 is 2.5" wider than a G body rear. Even though the A body rear end is wider the brackets on the rear end for the lower control arms are closer to the center of the rear end than the brackets for the lower control arms on the G body rear. UMI modified their lower control arms for me and added a roto joint on the rear end side to compensate for the angle with the misalignment of the brackets on the rear end. Keep in mind the G body stock rear sway bar will not fit with this rear end. I used an F body rear sway bar with a small modification to the bar and the OEM mounting hardware and 3" U bolts.

The A body 68 to 72 is 4.5" wider than the G body rear. The brackets on the rear end are virtually in the same location as the brackets on the G body rear so the stock lowers will fit. JBrue has a 68-72 A body 12 bolt in his Monte Carlo

Both rear ends will fit with the UMI upper conversion arms. The rear drum and E brake cable connection is the same as what's on the G body. The shoes and wheel cylinder are different. The spring perch sits more forward than the spring perch on the G body rear but I didn't move the spring perch on my rear end and with short springs it didn't affect anything.

The stock car guys run 9 inch rearend in there cars. Maybe you can score one from one of them that is not too beat up.

One of the reason stock cars have the 9" ford is because they are floaters. That means you can break an axle and the wheel and axle will not come flying off the car. It's a safety feature and some tracks mandate floating axles

What makes you think you even need a Ford 9"?
I want to build this car with the intention of never having to go back and start again with other stuff. If i want to build my motor up more i can. I dont have to go back and redo it. Also the center sections are nice to be able to switch out bc i am going to have it on the street too

if you are going to build a 3rd member just for the track you can save some money by using a full spool
