98~05 Blazer brake upgrade! DONE!

I'm reviving this thread from the dead.
I'm looking to purchase new bearing hubs. I'm not sure if mine are really bad. I actually pumped grease into where the ABS sensor wire goes into. They feel much tighter, not that they spun freely. They felt pretty snug before. I'm wondering if I should take a chance reusing them, or just go with new?

Anyhow, what recommendations do you guys have regarding bearing/ hub replacements?
I'm on a budget and can't go for high priced Timkens, etc.

Jack,

I used raybestos profesional grade bearings. They were about 89 each. There are cheaper ones on rock auto.

Thanks Joe,
I have seen cheaper ones, but was wondering about quality, or lack of.
Someone mentioned Detroit Axle, and I've seen brands like Callahan. They're probably Chinese knock-offs. I'm trying to find a happy medium between quality and not breaking the bank.

Spring for SKF if you plan to go really fast. Kore3 and others call those the 'high performance' option.

Detroit axle ......or Napa

Thank you for your input, guys.

Hey sorry I been gone. The hubs I got were from advanced auto parts and I got the moog ones. I believe I paid 60 a piece but had to do two separate orders because of the special discount I got. On advanced auto Web site they have ask for live help button well I hit it and the person hooked me up with 2 different codes on the hubs.I couldn't use them both at same time. I had 30 percent on one and 25 on the other. Helps big time. The corvette c5 calipers came with the brackets and hardware minus the pads N I paid around 20 ish because of the price match and discount of 30 percent off and my son said the chick liked me lol. I did paint them and also got dba rotors from advanced auto with the same discount technique I used on the hubs. I believe I paid 120? I know I got the spindles for around 125 or 150 shipped. I am quite low into everything I feel. I did but the c5 caliper mounts to the spindles but I could have made them I got them because they came with hardware and kor3 is kool. I also got the brake lines from him. No guess work. I am using hawk performance brake pads.75 because I opened a amozon account lol. Everything helps.

One note on the moog hubs.which really pissed me off btw! The pics of them showed they were serviceable meaning I could grease them. Well they are not. And had I know I might have brought different ones. But moog has a great rep and with the savings on them I am still happy. After all is said I am glad I went this route on my front brakes and I hope you will be to. It helps when others can help with info. I know I could have saved a few more bucks here and spent more there but it's done now. Now it's on to the rear brakes for me lol

it would not matter which blazer replacement bearings you got, non of them are servicable. they are a sealed unititized roller bearing like what is in an electrical motor

I am just saying the moog description and photo showed they were which is way I purchased them aND yes they could be serviceable if they were drilled and tapped for a grease fitting. I have modified more then one sealed bearing to have a way to service it. But this way when then go bad you have no choice but to replace them.

Steve,
My bearings don't make any noise and do not spin freely. In other words, they feel good... there's some resistance in them. I was able to open the plug where the ABS sensor goes and filled it with grease using my grease gun and a zerk fitting. They seem nice and snug, and I think they'll work out for now.
