98~05 Blazer brake upgrade! DONE!

Upgraded to hydroboost. When I upgraded the brakes. An internal leak was readily apparent. Now the brakes are rock hard comparatively speaking.

Probably going with a manual brake proportioning valve or the proportioning valve for rear disk brake setup next.

I'd suggest you go with Wilwoods adjustable proportioning valve. Just remove your original proportioning valve & install the Wilwood. A little bit of plumbing (re brake lines) and you're in business. It's bolt on & not only looks trick, but works great!
Ask me how I know.....

Lol nice.
Did you add more bias to the rear? Mine locks up the front brakes pretty easily.
My rears drums get line pressure but apparently not enough.

I've got the proportioning valve set for minimum rear brake bias, as I was worried about prematurely locking rears since I have the larger 7/8" bore (manual ) S-10 rear brake cylinders with both set of larger leading shoe brake pads & aluminum brake drums. So far have not locked up rears. Suspect I could creep up on the rear brake bias slightly , but so far works great and seems to be perfectly matched to my HydroBoost brakes with 2WD Blazer rotors and dual piston callipers..

Can actually use any 2wd blazer from 98-05. not just xtremes. xtreme is just a sports appearance package. base blazers even still had disk brakes in rear.

2 wheel drive Blazers in Pgh are more rare than Rolls Royce’s in the winter we could change the name to Slip and Slide. About 95 0/0 of all S series trucks sold here were 4X4s I spent 2 hours yesterday after work at the local U Pull and Pay, I must have looked at 40-50 S vehicles. Even the 3 , 2 wheel drive ones had the one piece rotor hub assembly. The b*tch is, all I need is the bolts to put it all together. I’ve contacted the forum member I bought the so called Complete Kit from 3 times in the last week, only to be ignored. Does anyone have a blow up diagram of all the parts of this assembly? I’ve spent alot of my spare time lately searching the net with no luck.

i know. if you read my what i wrote i said all 98-05 blazers 2wd blazers have the same brakes. all. base or xtreme. so front brakes from all 2wd 98-05 will work and i added the note that they all have rear disk too. there is zero difference between an xtreme and and base blazers besides the appearance package/sport spring package. you stated needed to be 2wd xtreme.
