Got something done on the passenger side. Cut the down pipe so I could keep the cat under the stock heat shield location. It clears nicely (but no pic to show). Then mocked up with the uncut intermediate pipe & looks like it'll work without the cat too.

Do you need the cat in PA?

Do you need the cat in PA?

For the visual your suppose to per the Fed regs (Pa needs cat, PCV, EGR, AIR pump, vap canister.) I want to set everything up as a CYA for the visual to be safe (& because my inspection guy is retiring next month so I'm not sure how the next guy will be.) It is set up to go both ways so if I would ditch them (or have to put them on) I'm good. Everything that is common to be ditched is ready for quick R&R. Hell I even have the maniolds set up with stainless plugs if I would need the AIR tubes. If the bean counters would look at the number of pre '95 cars (let alone pre '88) are on the road, look at the number that would be used as a daily driver, then look at how much of an enviromental impact made by keeping them maintained on the road versus those rotting & dumping their hazardous contents back into the enviorment they could say screw it. I still think PennDot should have a special "regular" registration these older cars as most only drive them in nice weather.:rant::rant:

Atleast my Silverado could do OK out there, it has the Peoples Repulics emissions as it was sold new in New York.

Don't bash NY to hard when it comes to cars, pre 96 is just a safety no emissions at all.

What kind of plates are you gonna run on it? If you run classic plates you don't need emissions and if you run antique plates you don't need safety or emissions. Theres all kind of stipulations that come with those plates but from what I understand they are pretty lightly enforced.
