The DMV doesnt have to be a bad experience but with too many regulations/laws, too many unknowledgeable workers, and too many fees, it turns everything into a $hit show.
Hard to believe how different all the states handle things.
Yup, they hate when you bring something "different" to their desk. It's just easier to throw you out at that point.
I remember I brought a 7 foot inflatable dinghy boat with a motor from BJ's Wholesale club. I live near Canada so anything under 10 Horse(the reason 10 horse motors are marketed as 9.9's) doesn't need to be resisted. But in NYS everything must be, so I went to the DMV to register the boat they kept insisting I give them the receipt from the "dealer". I told them there is no dealer, I got it at BJ's. They called me a liar and threw me out. Um ok.
