Hi Guys,
This question is actually for one of our foreign members that I've been trying to help. He had just purchased a new HD 85 amp large body alternator. I was wondering if he could still use his original top bracket by bending or tweaking it to fit the new alternator?

I was told that there is a top bracket specially made for the large bodied (15si)units.

I guess the same concern would also apply to using the large body CS144 alternator.

Being from the Northeast, I've always seen Canada as an extention to the US. Ha. Anywho, if you are talking about a SBC, there are plenty of alternator brackets available on the aftermarket sites. The one that PontuscGp posted would work just fine I'm thinking..

Thanks Steve,
That's right....you Canadian guys are technically foreigners...hahaha. Funny though, I don't view Canadians as foreigners...more like north Americans...😛

That type of upper bracket, or similar, may be a solution. The guy is from Norway. I don't know how much of this stuff is available out there.

Yeah, you might be right about that.

Steve,
His alternator is in the stock position, not mounted outboard like that one...closer to the intake and valve cover.

You guys......make me laugh long time
