autonomous cars are sponsored indirectly by the DoD through grants received at events such as the 'darpa grand challenge' where college kids wrote the framework to the coding for these systems for free in the hopes of getting scholarships.

Here is Obama sitting with 'sxsw' ; arguably a state sponsored propaganda platform designed to make autonomous cars seem 'cool' with a bunch of cheap concerts and it was 1 of the liason points of government / google and convince college kids to give away their coding labor (in the hopes of receiving a scholarship) for FREE instead of capitalizing on it. It didn't even take me 5 minutes of research to find... You people are hopeless because you are not even trying. The autonomous car did not come out of left field. It required a space program to steer it.

They don't exactly have their own private space program (yet) ; those gps satellites that steer the car didn't get up there without meeting Uncle Sam!

That is exactly the problem with today's society. The socialists show up and nit pick the technicalities of literary arguments in organized efforts to censor opinions they happen to disagree with. I bet I never play second fiddle to a loyalist Tory. I was always more of a Fiddler on the Roof type of guy.
