Anyone ever tried any of those battery additives that are supposed to "revive" and desulfate lead acid batteries? How about Epsom salt?

I've got 3 motorcycles and an ATV with marginal batteries. Was thinking about rolling the dice to see if I can squeak 1 more season out of them.

I was able to make it fit with minor mods and the pressure on low.

I never heard of that so I did some intensive research.....one guy diluted the epsom salt and put that into the battery and recharged it. That seemed to work. The second one I watched dumped the acid out of the battery and neutralized the acit with baking soda. The he diluted about 1 cup of epson salt in enough demineralized water to fill the battery and put it in a trickle charge. He left the battery trickle charge and and after that he drained the battery, refilled it with acid, trickle charged it till it was charged and it charged up full.

Yeah, I got into too many YouTube vids myself. Seems to be about a hundred theories and methods. My plan was to order some additive and a bottle of electrolyte off Amazon. I should be able to treat all my batteries and top them all off for less than the cost of replacing the cheapest one. Was mostly curious if any of you guys had tried it and it was just a total waste of effort.

My Indian is probably fine for this coming season if I just ride it regularly. The ATV is toast. The 2 TWs are borderline but have kick starts, so it's not like I'll get stranded.

I can't tell you if an additive will work without the year make and model of the vehicle, sir.

I ended up buying a bottle of this stuff and gave it a shot.

I just dropped the acid level enough in each cell to add maybe 1/2oz of magic juice. One battery was marginal and now acts like new. The one that was really weak partially bounced back and will start the bike but cranks slow. They both get better with use.
Haven't pulled the seat off the Indian to treat it yet but will soon. I'll put some in the 6V tractor battery too.
So far, it looks like this stuff might be legit. Available in 2oz size too, BTW.
